Name: Ravenkit Ravenpaw Raventalon
Age: 44 moons
Gender: she-cat
Clan: MistClan
Rank: Senior warrior
Picture:
Description: Raventalon is a warrior first and foremost. Her pelt is on the thinner side, as it is in general for MistClan cats, and she has a thin frame that is well adapted for running on the moors. She has a coat of a mixture of black and gold and brown, a pelt that is best described as tortoiseshell. Her eyes are a silvery green in color, matching the flowers that surround their camp, and oddly enough her tail has a white tip, the only part of her that isn't black or gold.
Personality: Raventalon has flaws, but she doesn't like people pointing them out nor does she appreciate when other cats take advantage of them. Despite her quiet nature, there is a real leader hiding underneath her black and gold pelt. She is almost entirely mute, but when she speaks her words carry a wisdom beyond her moons and a unique way of looking upon the world. While one cat may simply call a river blue, she would call it the color of the sky overhead, the same sky that gives them strength and makes them live longer. Starclan has always been connected to her, whether she was aware of it when she was a little kitten or not. As such, she has a very spiritual way of approaching problems and is often known to bring Starclan up in conversation.
In no way is Raventalon perfect. She has trust problems, on top of her being almost silent most of the time, and yet she has ways of speaking her mind without really making others feel bad about their own opinions. Though she is loyal to her clan, it is only her clan that she is loyal to. She puts them well before the other clans, and she also has a sort of disdain for the other clans because they are not hers.
That being said, she will not sit by and let her lands be encroached upon. Raventalon is a proud figure and will protect the honor of MistClan to her own loss of life. Despite believing that fighting only ends with death, she is a strong fighter and not at all weak. She has a very long fuse, but once lit she is not someone you want on your bad side. When she was younger she was known to be jealous, but her age and her rank have allowed her to release that part of herself so that she is now much more secure in herself.
History: Ravenkit was the boss of her litter of kits, born to a warrior that was a good and strong member of the clan and his lovely mate. She was young when he led the clan to glory by saving an apprentice from a two-leg attack that would otherwise have cost them a member of the clan. The fight cost him the use of one of his legs, as the two leg was quite quick with his attack.
Despite the loss of his leg, her father, the great Hawktalon, and he was beaming as his kits were all named to apprenticeship. Ravenpaw, Mousepaw, and Blackpaw were all three the pride of the clan, especially as they came from a long line of extraordinary warriors and queens. Her mentor was a tom named Quickhunt, who told her that her size as no reason for her to be a bad warrior. She poured her heart into training and hunting, urged on by his gentle encouragement that she could be a warrior just as much as her brother and sister could.
One day, while she was out hunting with Quickhunt, a badger attacked them out of nowhere. Despite being outrageously outsized, Ravenpaw fought valiantly and actually managed to save her mentor's life with her quick thinking. They returned to camp, where her mentor announced that she had fought off a badger by herself while he was unconscious and unable to help her. For her bravery, the elderly Sharpnose gave her her warrior name.
Raventalon, for she had withstood the talons of a badger and stood up for what she believed in. Her siblings got their names soon after, Mouseear and Blackwing, and the three of them began to work towards being real warriors together. While they were busy becoming real warriors, their mother, Goldenwhisker, got sick with a bad cough. The sickness spread through the ranks of the clan, despite all that the medicine cat did to stop it, and eventually Goldenwhisker eventually succumbed to her illness.
Raventalon was sad, but she knew that her mother would want her to continue on with her life. So, despite her sadness, Raventalon found a hunting partner in Clouddrop:
He was handsome, brave, and intelligent. Beyond that, he comforted her after the death of her mother. Eventually, when the two of them got even closer together, they agreed to have a litter of kits. Raventalon bore to them two kits, Nightkit and Rabbitkit, and their little family was complete. Once she had finished nursing and her kits were able to become apprentices, she took on another queen's only kit as her own apprentice.
Brookpaw was a good apprentice to her, but there was a streak in him that Raventalon was all too quick to hone in on and watch out for. He often snuck off for hours at a time, only to return with vague excuses given to his mentor, and more than once Raventalon boxed him over the ears for missing his evening chores. She, however, thought that his behavior was simply a kit being a kit, pushing his boundaries and learning. Though she corrected him, she also made sure that he made his mistakes on his own.
Eventually, he settled down and became a good part of the clan. But, as soon as he received his warrior name after his evaluation, Brookwind decided that he was tired of clan life and easily bored. As such, he took off for other lands to explore and get himself in trouble.
To Raventalon's dismay, the bored tom was caught in a battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan, and somehow he managed to slip off of a rock and hit his head. The medicine cat did everything he could for the tom, and eventually Brookwind recovered sight in one eye but one eye only. Raventalon was inspired to show the now repentant cat how to function with only his one eye, and eventually Rowanstar renamed him as Singlesight.
Now Raventalon and Clouddrop live with their kits in relative peace. It is a quiet world, and she has no apprentice currently. However, raising kits and warriors is something that she is surprisingly very good at it.
RP Example: The wind shivered across the moors and along the meadows, and it stirred the brambles of the den where she was currently curled up asleep. Each nest had been lined with whatever the warriors felt like would make them comfortable, and Raventalon's shared nest with Clouddrop was lined with the softest thrush feathers and warm hawk feathers, the latter of which that Clouddrop had caught when he was trying to impress her to becoming his mate.
She yawned lazily and twitched her nose, her tail flicking as she sat up a little in the dim half light of the warriors' den. Hopefully, today would be a day filled with work and care, not to mention time with her kits. She looked over at Clouddrop, who was still snoring from his spot next to her, then she leaned up and licked his nose. But rather than wake up and move, he simply curled up closer to her and wrapped his foreleg around her to pull her against him.
Raventalon purred sweetly and cuddled up to him again. It was still not quite time to get up, though the daylight meant that she should probably get up and see about a patrol. But instead, she buried her nose into his thick fur and closed her green eyes. What a day indeed. She curled one of her black paws over his and let herself relax against him again. Eventually she would get up.
